CUPERTINO, CALIF (on June 18, 2009) - Ducati North America is excited to announce to the day of the south of way of the first annual fly Dukes , who will be held on July 13 with the park of Motorsports of New Jersey.

The south of fly of Dukes is the principal event of the North-East of the Ducati United States for the summer. The event will be a great opportunity of testing the quiver of the racecourse like Ducati and the school of penguin; the school roadracing of the oldest motor bike of the nation. The school of penguin will have an aligned special personnel so that this event provides the instruction of higher level and the entertainment of best quality. The event is open riders of street of all the levels and available to the riders on made motor bike.

Rossi: Yamaha Makin Dekati Ducati

Valentino Rossi lebih percaya diri dalam pertarungan mengejar gelar. Pembalap Italia ini yakin kerja keras tim Yamaha kini semakin mendekati jarak dengan Ducati di kondisi kering.

Rossi baru saja memenangi GP Republik Ceko akhir pekan ini setelah Casey Stoner mengalami kecelakaan. Pembalap Fiat Yamaha ini pun merasa yakin bahwa juara bertahan itu melakukan kesalahan setelah mendapatkan tekanan darinya.

“Lihat di balapan Laguna Seca, terkadang Casey (Stoner) bersandar ke bawah jauh dari saya, mungkin itu sesuatu sebabnya. Terkadang dia membuat cetusan, mungkin mengangkat persneling. Saya tak tahu,” kata Rossi seperti dilansir Auto Sport.

“Bagi saya, masalah (di Brno) adalah dia membuat 1:57.2 lap dan dia melihat bahwa tidak mungkin untuk dikejar, jadi dia mencoba untuk membuat 1:56,0. Di dunia manusia ini tidaklah mungkin,” lanjut pembalap Fiat Yamaha ini.

Rossi menambahkan bahwa menang di Laguna Seca, setelah melakukan pertarungan ketat dengan Stoner, menjadi titik bablik kebangkitannya di musim ini. Ia pun mengakui bahwa bahwa motornya kini dapat bersaing dengan motor Ducati Stoner.

“Di Laguna saya melakukan demonstrasi kepada saya dan tim saya jika semua baik maka sangat mungkin mengalahkan dia. Pekan ini kami bekerja sangat baik. Bedanya tipis daripada di Laguna dan alasan lain saya pikir dia membuat kesalahan,” tukasnya.

Meski demikian Rossi tetap tidak menutup ancaman dari Ducati. Apalagi Stoner sangat perkasa saat medan basah di Brno yang menjadi bukti bahwa Yamaha harus tetap terus melakukan pengembangan hingga akhir musim.

“Saat hujan kami harus dapat lebih baik karena Stoner lebih cepat dari kami. Namun bagaimanapun kami juga semakin baik seperti di Sachsenring dan juga kemarin. Sekarang kami tahu sangat mungkin mengalahkan meski dia sangat cepat,” ujar Rossi.

Rossi Bersama Yamaha sampai 2010

Menjelang dilakukan babak kualifikasi MotoGP, Minggu dini hari, kubu Fiat-Yamaha mengumumkan formasi pembalapnya untuk musim balapan tahun depan. Valentino Rossi diperpanjang kontraknya selama dua tahun dan Jorge Lorenzo masih dipertahankan untuk berpasangan dengan “The Doctor”.

Juara dunia tujuh kali (GP 500 dan MotoGP) itu bergabung dengan Yamaha sejak 2004. Kehadirannya mengakhiri masa paceklik prestasi Yamaha yang berkepanjangan. Kelahiran Urbino Italia ini lantas menyumbangkan prestasi tertinggi buat yamaha dengan dua kali menyandang juara dunia.

Pengumuman disampaikan kubu Yamaha bersamaan pesta Laguna Seca Party di Monterey Bay Aquarium. “Setelah beberapa tahun menyediakan waktu untuk balap, ditunjang dengan prestasi yang baik, saya butuh motivasi khusus untuk menerima kontrak Yamaha selama dua tahun ke depan,” ungkap Rossi. Tempat yang telah memotivasi saya dengan baik adalah Yamaha.

Rossi mengaku, tim Yamaha sekarang ini yang memicu saya tampil maksimal. Mereka menyediakan motor yang kompetitif dan kerja sama terjalin dengan bagus. “Itulah yang memutuskan saya betah di Yamaha, termasuk mau menerima perpanjangan kontrak dua tahun lagi,” papar Rossi.

Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Lin Jarvis menambahkan, “Valentino Rossi sudah menjadi ikon di olahraga dan ia berada dalam posisi top sekarang ini. Kesalutan kami adalah karena perjuangannya untuk merebut gelar juara dunia kedelapan masih tinggi. Itulah yang memutuskan tim mau mengontraknya lagi.
